This tank from the 2. Panzer Division was the first to reach the crossroads of Celles on 24 December 1944. It drove over a mine and was abandoned there. The German offensive to reach the Meuse river was stopped there thanks to Marthe Monrique, who said to a German officer of the 2. Panzer Division that the road to Dinant was mined. Marthe Monrique acquired the tank in 1948, to put it as a monument where it was destoyed few years before (info. from a plaque beside the tank)

Dieser Tank aus der 2. Panzer-Division war der erste, der Kreuzung von Celles am 24. Dezember 1944 zu erreichen. Er fuhr auf eine Mine und war es aufgegeben. Die deutsche Offensive an der Maas zu erreichen gestoppt wurde es dank Marthe Monrique, die zu einem so Deutsch Offizier der 2. Panzer-Division, dass die Straße nach Dinant abgebaut wurde. Marthe Monrique erwarb der Tank im Jahr 1948, um es als eine Put-Denkmal, wo er einige Jahre zuvor war destoyed (Info von einer Gedenktafel neben dem Tank)
